Emergency Nurse (RN) in Carrollton, VA

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care in the emergency department, following established protocols and evidence-based practices
• Perform assessments, triage patients, and execute swift, accurate nursing interventions during emergencies
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs and documentation
• Coordinate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, aftercare, and discharge instructions
• Maintain a safe environment, ensuring adherence to regulatory and infection control policies
• Accurately document all care activities and patient outcomes using electronic medical records

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active RN license with authorization to practice in the state
• Minimum one year of recent experience as an RN within an Emergency Room environment
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced scenarios with competing demands
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred
