Pay: $20.00/hr + $1.00/hr shift differentialJob Description: TEMPO Employment Services is looking for an Equipment Operator to work at a local wood-processing facility. This person will safely operate loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. The job also includes helping with truck loading and unloading, cleaning up the work area, and assisting with basic maintenance.This is a hands-on job for someone who enjoys working with equipment and staying busy. You should be comfortable working outside and doing different types of work throughout the day.Responsibilities:Safely operate loaders, forklifts, and other heavy equipmentComplete daily equipment checks before operating machineryFollow directions from supervisorsOperate equipment safely around other workers and vehiclesClean and perform basic maintenance on equipmentLoad and unload trucksHelp clean and maintain the work siteUse a shovel and perform other physical tasks when neededHelp the maintenance team with basic repairs and upkeepHelp train new employees on safe equipment operationFollow all safety rules and proceduresAttend safety meetings and inspectionsWork well with other team membersPerform other duties as neededQualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience operating loaders, forklifts, or other heavy equipment preferredPrevious experience in a wood-processing or manufacturing facility preferredAble to safely operate and work around heavy equipmentAble to follow directions and safety rulesGood communication and teamwork skillsDependable and willing to learnGood attention to detailAble to stay focused and handle multiple tasksComfortable working outside in different weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and dustAble to regularly lift and carry at least 50 poundsAble to wear required safety equipmentWilling to work overtime when neededNo visa sponsorship is available for this positionThis is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with heavy equipment and wants a hands-on job with a local manufacturing company.TEMPO Employment Services is an EEO/AA employer.
