Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring a PA or Compact RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• Small community hospital setting with no intermediate level of care floor, so ICU manages a wide acuity range
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• Floating required when there is no need on the home unit
• Patient ratio of 1:2-3
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required in hand
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/PICC/arterial line management, blood product administration, and TPN/Lipids
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with cardiac drip titration and dysrhythmia management
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
• Two valid professional references and copies of certifications required

Additional Information

• Care for a diverse ICU population including medical, surgical, trauma, and neuro critical care cases as needed
• PA fingerprints required and may involve travel over 100 miles; must be completed within one week of contract signing
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/fail clinical exam required for clearance, with a maximum of 3 attempts
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; no changes accepted afterward
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a local rate differential within a 50-mile radius
