Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP required; AWHONN Intermediate preferred. Must-Have: - Experience in labor and delivery with minimum patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2. - Proficient in Epic charting system. - Experience in high-risk obstetrics care. - Ability to work in a team-based environment. Description: We are seeking motivated and experienced labor and delivery nurses. The unit provides care for neonates, infants, and adults. This position involves managing labor, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean sections. Nurses will assist with multiple births and manage postpartum hemorrhage and pregnancy-induced hypertension. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:1 to 1:2. There are 16 labor and delivery beds with an average daily census of 15 patients. Floating within the facility may be required. On-call requirements include two calls per six weeks. Holidays are part of the commitment, with expectations to work major holidays. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary for timely assignment start. Candidates must submit necessary documentation on time. Maintaining up-to-date certifications is essential. Ideal candidates will possess strong assessment and management skills. Additional skills include administration of medications, managing high-risk deliveries, and conducting patient assessments.
