The nurse will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Essential functions include: Collecting relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implementing the plan, coordinating care delivery, and employing strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward achieving outcomes. Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe and healing environment. Providing learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly providing health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participating in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegating appropriately and coordinating the duties of healthcare team members. Performing other job-related duties as assigned. This department handles overall administrative and general support tasks for the entire Nursing Services staff. It provides line management for nursing administration and includes clerical support, nurse scheduling coordination, and balancing nursing staff to patient and unit needs.
