Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Reading, Pennsylvania, is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee quality control systems across its production facility. This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with industry standards, managing inspection processes, and leading a team of quality technicians.
The position requires close collaboration with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues before they affect output. The successful candidate will develop and enforce quality procedures, manage documentation for audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
This is a full-time, on-site position offering a stable long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer. The company values candidates who can balance hands-on floor presence with data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality control procedures and documentation
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for defects
- Supervise a team of quality inspectors and technicians
- Conduct internal audits and prepare for third-party certification audits
- Monitor production data to identify trends and quality risks
- Collaborate with engineering on product and process improvements
- Train production staff on quality standards and procedures
- Report quality metrics to plant leadership on a regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related field
- 5 or more years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Strong knowledge of statistical process control methods
- Proficiency with quality management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Experience conducting internal and external audits
- Ability to work on the production floor as needed
