CT Technologist - Evenings

Job Summary Location: Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH) Shift: Evenings Weekly Hours: 40 Worker Type: Regular $15,000 sign‑on bonus for eligible applicants. This posting reflects an opening for a CT Technologist I. Geisinger reserves the right to consider applicants for higher levels of this role (CT Technologist II) based on skills, qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Ensures correct order is obtained, patient is properly identified and prepared for exam, and clinical history is documented while respecting confidentiality. Utilizes appropriate imaging protocol and optimizes technical factors while maximizing patient safety and applying principles of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable). Preparing and/or administering medications through new or existing vascular access sites as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluates images for proper positioning and acceptable technical quality, and verifies archival storage and/or transfer of data, includes post‑processing of data when applicable. Educates and monitors students and other health care providers. Assists a licensed practitioner with interventional computed tomography procedures. Performs computed tomography procedures as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Works in a clinical environment and complies with all organization policies and procedures. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years related work experience. Graduate from a Specialty Training Program‑Radiologic Technology (required) and/or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred). Basic Life Support Certification (default issuing body). Certifications Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) required upon hire. New graduates must obtain ARRT‑R registry or NMTCB prior to first day of employment. Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2 (including advanced certification) within 24 months of hire. Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB). Radiography (R) – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
