Job Summary/Description WXIX FOX19 is searching for a dynamic and engaging meteorologist to join our First Alert Weather Team. You must possess superior forecasting and storytelling skills. We are looking for a meteorologist adept in all aspects of meteorology, including forecasting, graphics presentation, digital presentation, social media, and LIVE reporting in the field. You will be responsible for delivering accurate & compelling weather forecasts on our weekend newscasts. Duties/Responsibilities Forecast, produce, and present weather segments for weekend newscasts and First Alert digital streaming shows. Provide live coverage and clear, urgent communication during severe weather events. Fill in for other meteorologists’ shifts during the week as needed. Create and publish compelling content across digital, social, and streaming platforms. Collaborate with other meteorologists and producers to ensure continuity and accuracy in weather storytelling. Utilize the latest weather technology and graphics platforms to deliver engaging presentations. Mine social media and other sources for weather story ideas and audience engagement opportunities. Support breaking weather coverage, often outside of normally scheduled shifts. Qualifications/Requirements At least 2 years of experience as a broadcast meteorologist/weather anchor Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related field.
