Currently, we are hiring a Senior Software Engineer - Android, reporting to the Senior Manager, Rx Digital Engineering, who will work on the CVS and Health 100 (H100) apps within our Pharmacy Consumer Wellness (PCW) organization. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be working with cross-functional teams such as Design and Product to deliver great user experiences. Additionally, this Engineer will partner with Product Managers, Engineering Managers and fellow feature Front End and Back End engineers to build products used to make our powerful omni channel shopping and pharmacy an easy, seamless experience.The Senior Software Engineer – Android will be responsible for the development, maintenance and delivery of Android applications and will be an essential part of our Android team. The goal and mission of this team is to Build, Test and Ship new features within an Agile environment, delivering the latest and greatest applications to our consumers.Expectations For The RoleDeveloping, integrating and deploying Android ApplicationsWriting efficient, well-documented code with Kotlin/Jetpack Compose / Java in Android using Android StudioWorking in OOP and design patterns, such as MVVM, MVC, Strategy, etc.Creating core libraries, application framework, and Android architectureWorking with concurrency including Thread, Handler, java, Coroutines and scheduling techniquesWorking with Product Management, Engineering, and UX team members to influence the android application developmentRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in software development working on enterprise-class applications3+ years of experience working on Android front-end development3+ years of experience developing for multiple device sizes such as mobile phone and tablets, also including portrait & landscape3+ years of experience and understanding of the entire Mobile SDLC using Android SDKPreferred QualificationsAbility to effectively handle and protect sensitive and confidential company information.Good understanding of ADA and other regulatory compliances including PCI, PII and PHI.Promote proper implementation of Agile processes, techniques and principles.Good Knowledge of CI/CD, build automation tools like Jenkins.Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight.Excellent communications skills with ability to communicate effectively in visual, verbal, and written form.EducationBachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience)
