Diesel Mechanic

Rapid Prep is a growing national company that services the abrasive blasting industry and is looking for the following skills and qualifications:


-Candidate must have good driving record and no criminal record. Technician will be required at times to service equipment in local government facilities. No applicant with a felony conviction will be considered due to the access requirement


-Basic troubleshooting of 12 VDC, 120-460 VAC electrical systems and controls is required


-Basic knowledge of diesel engines, ability to change oil, fuel filters, fuel lines and adjust PTO's., hydraulic systems is preferred


-Overnight travel will be required. Position allows for use of company vehicle and expense account


-Basic working knowledge of compressed air and pneumatic systems is preferred


-Basic working knowledge of power drive systems is desirable (Electric and Diesel)


-Capacity to wear a half mask 2 cartridge respirator and be fit tested for such, facial hair may need to be shaven for proper respirator use will be required at times


-Ability to lift up to 50lbs at times is required


Candidate will be compensated based on having a certain level of knowledge of the above criteria and/ or an ability to learn these skills from operations management. Above all else candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn the business.
