About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, National News Finance to serve as a key financial and strategic leader for its national news division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in the development of strategic financial objectives, leading all core finance processes, and developing tools and processes to provide insights into critical operational areas. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a finance or related role, preferably in the entertainment or digital media sector, and a BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. The VP will also be expected to have excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in SAP, and a proven track record of leadership and management in a financial organization. Key responsibilities for the VP, National News Finance include partnering with the CFO and editorial and technical operational leaders to achieve budget and drive efficiencies, developing strong relationships with the editorial leadership team, and providing financial guidance to support the expansion of news brands. The role demands a strategic thinker with the ability to influence and guide plans to ensure the news brands meet their financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a background in the media or broadcast industry, experience in P&L leadership, and a proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing financial team. Integrity, excellent judgment, and the ability to provide thoughtful, strategic insights to senior leadership are essential for this executive position.
