Quality Inspector II - Flexible Schedule & Growth

Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking multiple Quality Inspector II positions at our Bridgeton, MO location. This role provides quality support across functions including the Electronic Assembly Test Center (EATC), incoming/receiving, and engineering efforts. Inspect all subcomponents against engineering drawings and Inspection Operation Card (IOC) criteria. Must be able to decipher engineering drawings and the Manufacturing Instruction Set (MIS). Responsibilities Perform inspection activities to assess conformance of products to design as defined by engineering drawings and/or models. Inspect products, components, subassemblies, and/or systems to ensure conformance to requirements. Implement innovative solutions and best practices in the product realization value stream. Assist Quality Engineers in identifying non-conforming conditions that may present defective conditions at system or subsystem levels. Assist in preparing inspection plans and checklists. Assist in data collection and root cause analysis investigations. Generate discrepancy notices and initiate Material Review Board actions. Perform material movement transactions after completing inspection. Specialize in receiving inspection, in-process inspection, process verification/auditing, final inspection, etc. Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least 2 years of relevant experience. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing standards such as J-Std-001/IPC-A-610 or mechanical techniques (e.g., geometric dimensioning and tolerance). Ability to use various measurement devices (calipers, pin gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.) to verify mechanical part compliance. Experience reading mechanical drawings and verifying parts dimensions against drawing requirements. Experience with a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), optical comparator, or other complex inspection systems is desired. Ability to interpret data and present information and respond to questions from engineers and technical staff. Benefits and Compensation Salary: $41,011.00 – $53,315.00 per year (state of Illinois).
