# Emergency Medicine Physician – Low Patient Volume + Shift Bonuses# Emergency Medicine Physician### Low patient volume with Critical Care and Observation Care bonusesLife Savers Emergency Room is adding emergency medicine physicians across all four of our freestanding emergency rooms in Houston and Sugar Land.The clinical environment here is a low patient volume one, which means you have the time to work a case properly instead of clearing a board. Compensation runs on shift pay plus Critical Care and Observation Care bonuses earned on the same shift, so the work you do at the bedside shows up in what you take home.**Pay:** $300,000 to $400,000 a year **Schedule:** About 8 shifts a month full time, 4 part time **Type:** Full time and part time **Locations:** Four sites in Houston and Sugar Land**Critical Care bonus.** Earned per shift on the critical care you deliver.**Observation Care bonus.** Earned per shift on patients managed in our observation program.Both stack on top of your shift compensation, so a busy clinical shift pays like one.## Position highlights* Low patient volume compared with many traditional hospital emergency departments* Full time is approximately 8 shifts per month* Part time is approximately 4 shifts per month* Flexible scheduling* Additional earning through Critical Care bonuses* Additional earning through Observation Care bonuses* Supportive and collaborative clinical environment* Opportunity to work across multiple Houston area locations## Qualifications* MD or DO from an accredited medical school* Completion of an accredited residency program* Active and unrestricted Texas medical license* Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and ATLS certifications* Emergency medicine experience strongly preferred* Freestanding emergency room or urgent care experience is a plus* Strong clinical judgment, communication and interpersonal skills## What we runLife Savers Emergency Room was founded in Houston in 2015 by Dr. Foye Ikyaator to give families 24 hour emergency care without hospital wait times. Every site operates a COLA certified on site laboratory, X-ray, CT, MRI and ultrasound, an observation program and an on site pharmacy, with board certified radiology support.
