What You Will Do
- Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, utilizing both recognized assessments and keen observational skills.
- Create tailored treatment plans targeting immediate and long-lasting communication and swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy designed to enhance communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to forge integrated care plans.
- Provide both patients and families with educational resources to facilitate progress outside therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Document all patient interactions and progress diligently to comply with all regulatory standards.
- Remain engaged with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaborative opportunities.
Your Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet accredited by ASHA.
Licensure and Certification
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of starting employment.
