Certified Veterinary TechnicianFamily Pet Clinic of Newberg is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a fast-paced general practice environment balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work hands-on with a diverse range of patients, including dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, and other exotic species.We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care. You'll play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout each patient visit.Responsibilities include:Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflowsPerforming anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting, and recoveryPerforming dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiographyMaintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentationReviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionatelyIdentifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospitalBuilding strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive serviceThis role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.Schedule and compensation:Compensation: $28 - $31 per hour, for each hour workedThis is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with a rotating Saturday.
