Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in post-op surgical care for an acute care setting. Ideal candidates will have strong critical thinking skills and a good bedside manner. The role involves working within a surgical acute unit with a focus on team collaboration and patient safety.
Assignment Details

Shift: 12-hour nights
Schedule: 0700-1930 for days; 1930-0730 for nights, including every other weekend and rotating holidays
Assignment Length: Not specified
Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
Charting System: EPIC
Number of Beds: 63 (49 private, 9 observation)
Nurse: Patient Ratios: 4-5/RN days, 5-6/RN nights
Responsibilities

Provide post-op surgical care and manage medical overflow patients
Conduct dressing changes, wound care, and IV therapy
Manage pain, drains, NGs, central lines, and TPN
Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications

Required:
Active Illinois RN license or initiated application process
BLS certification (AHA)
Experience with post-op patient care and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a drug-free environment and produce a negative drug screen
Good bedside manner and team collaboration skills
