The opportunities are endless.Job OverviewThe Masonry Team Leader is responsible for leading on-site masonry and hardscape installations while actively working alongside the crew. This role performs all core masonry tasks while taking primary responsibility for site layout, quality control, crew coordination, and communication with Project Managers. The Team Leader mentors and trains team members, ensures projects are completed safely and efficiently, and upholds company standards for craftsmanship and professionalism.Responsibilities and DutiesLead, direct, and support Masonry Team Members by providing on-the-job mentorship, training, and guidancePromote a safe, productive work environment and ensure all safety protocols, best practices, and company procedures are followed at all timesCollaborate with Project Managers to confirm project scope, priorities, and installation details prior to and during job executionCommunicate progress, challenges, and material needs to Project Managers in a timely mannerEnsure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and client expectationsLead and perform installation of masonry and small hardscape features such as walkways, patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, and firepitsTake primary responsibility for site layout, measurements, elevations, and adherence to project plansComplete excavation and base installation per project specificationsGrade and compact sub-base materials to ensure proper drainage and long-term stabilityPrepare and mix mortar/mud to the proper consistency for masonry installationsLay out stone, brick, and veneer materials according to design plansInstall materials using both wet-set and dry-set methodsCut materials using tile cutters and masonry saws, as neededPerform grouting, jointing, sealing, and finish work to company quality standardsSafely operate and maintain hand tools, masonry saws, tile cutters, mixers, and measuring toolsIdentify and proactively resolve on-site issues or escalate concerns when necessaryAssist with job site setup, organization, loading/unloading of materials and equipment, and daily cleanup as neededWork collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to complete projects on schedule and to quality standardsOther duties as assignedJob RequirementsHigh school diplomaDemonstrated experience in masonry, hardscape, or construction installationDemonstrated experience leading and mentoring a crew within the industryAbility to read and interpret plans, layouts, and job specificationsProficient with hand tools, masonry saws, tile cutters, and mixersTeam-oriented mindset with a positive attitudeStrong work ethic and willingness to learn new skillsSmall equipment experience (plate compactors, skid steers, etc.) is helpful, but not requiredAbility to work efficiently under deadlinesAbility to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding workReliable attendance and ability to work long days as project schedules requireAbility to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat and humidityAbility to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and work on uneven surfaces and terrainThe Perks401(k) plan with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceFSA/HSAPerkSpotLong-Term Disability and Life InsurancePaid time OffTuition Reimbursement (after one year of service)Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
