Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 2–3 weekends worked per 6-week scheduling period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU environment
• Manage post-operative patients, including those with g-tubes and trach/vent needs
• Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
• Participate in a Magnet-designated, pediatric-focused care environment serving patients throughout the region

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum of 2 years of total NICU Level III/IV experience (combination of Level III and Level IV experience may be used to meet the 2-year total; however, at least 1 full year must be in a Level IV NICU)
• Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being submitted to
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a telemetry/cardiac rhythm interpretation exam prior to start (passing score of 80% or higher; up to three attempts permitted under defined criteria)
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level IV NICU beyond the minimum 1-year requirement
• Familiarity with a wide range of invasive and noninvasive ventilation modes in a neonatal setting
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or high-acuity pediatric facility
