Landscape Architect (State College, PA) ELA Group, Inc. (ELA) is seeking a full‑time Landscape Architect with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience to join our team in State College, PA . While not a remote position, this in‑person role offers flexibility for work/life balance within a "informal" office culture. As a regional branch of ELA, we are a small team of professionals who work closely together to achieve exceptional project design solutions for our clients. This role has the potential for upward mobility and offers a possible path toward management/leadership. General Responsibilities Prepare planning documents including feasibility studies, construction documents, and subdivision/land development plans. Produce project designs/calculations, plans, and permit applications and coordinate with reviewing agencies. Conduct review and interpretation of ordinances and regulations. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field of study. Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D software. Strong PC skills, i.e., Word, Excel, MS Outlook, virtual conferencing. The ability to review, understand, and resolve complex design‑related issues. Pennsylvania State, County, and Municipal level regulatory experience. Understanding of, and experience with, the municipal land development and NPDES permitting process. Experience with bidding and construction phase engineering consulting tasks. Ability to manage time effectively; prioritize and handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
