Medical Assistant PositionThe Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Griswold Center, our newest outpatient clinical site located in Palmer, MA. This is an exciting position for a medical assistant who wants to make a positive impact to the population served.Your role as a Medical Assistant: The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client's service team. You will have the ability to use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments, develop supportive relationships with clients, interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs, coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients' support network (e.g. family members, other service providers), active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment, liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients' medications, and prepare lab requests and obtain results. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Managing Provider SchedulesProvider Visit PrepPrior AuthorizationsObtaining Medical Records / communicating with community providersAnswering phonesRooming PatientsPerforming vital signsEngaging with the EHRSubmitting ReferralsOther duties as identified by programmatic needREQUIRMENTS:Certified or Registered Medical Assistant1 year experience in a medical/clinical practice requiredExperience with Prior Authorizations preferredMedication Administration (MAP) Certifications preferredCPR and First Aid Certificate, preferredBilingual candidates encouraged to applySuccess Factor: The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, team-oriented individual that is ready to contribute to the betterment of the team. We are looking for a professional medical assistant to compliment the dynamic growing team.Pay range is $20.00-$24.00 an hour based on experience.
