Bookkeeper The Parking Office Bookkeeper provides a vital service to the City of Myrtle Beach by ensuring parking regulations in the City are met. The Parking Office Bookkeeper will work out of the Myrtle Beach office and will be responsible for greeting all incoming visitors and ascertaining their purpose for visiting the office. They will provide information on parking regulations, parking citations, city decals and general information about the City as requested. The bookkeeper will be responsible for collecting payment on parking citations as well as issuing various parking permits. The Parking Office Bookkeeper is also responsible for answering all incoming phone calls to the office and handling each with the utmost professionalism. The hours for the Parking Office Bookkeeper are 8:00am 4:30pm and all applicants must be willing to work weekends. This is a full-time position and the rate will be between $16/hr. - $17/hr. depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Reconcile customer accounts and issue invoices to customers Ensure that receivables are collected promptly and entered into PARIS or DARMA Record cash receipts and make bank deposits daily Conduct periodic reconciliation of accounts to ensure accuracy; request balance adjustments and credit refunds as needed Audit between the invoiced list and access list of parkers for accuracy Complete daily reports on parking tickets; organize and store parking tickets and reports Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund Prepare information for corporate accounting and auditors, when necessary Maintain accounting filing system Calculate budget variances and report significant issues to management; prepare and issue financial statements Provide general office support including; filing and supply management Use respectful communication to assist guests with their questions, problems, and concerns; relay information to shift or Operations Manager as necessary Communicate professionally at all times with guests, client, and teammates.
