We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget.Job Summary/ResponsibilitiesElectrical engineering support from conceptual design through construction administration and post-occupancyPerforms specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Support in the review of shop drawings during the construction administration phasePrepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aidsWrite reports and memos for internal and external purposes based on findingsWorks cooperatively with managers and other employees to achieve company's missionEnsures discipline plans that are created meet overall project team requirements for project scope, quality and scheduleStays current on codes and technologies appropriate to the electrical disciplinesSupport on site visits for the purpose of data collection and evaluation of electrical systems, equipment, components and materials for projectsDevelops designs within a BIM design environmentCompletes assigned engineering and design tasks in accordance with client specified criteria and applicable codes and standardsQualificationsMinimum RequirementsBA/BS in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field +4years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree from an ABET accredited University and has passed the fundamentals of Engineering Exam (EIT/FE)Strong experience with Revit and AutoCAD based design projects4+ years of electrical engineering experience within a consulting or design-build firmStrong communication skills: articulate, assertive, and confidentCreative thinker with effective teamwork skillsDesire to be mentored by leadership.Experience with sustainable designStrong attention to detail and accuracy/quality of work.Proficient in the use of drafting software including Revit and AutoCADPower system studies experience utilizing SKM, ETAP or Easy Power.Lighting calculation experience with Visual, AGI32 or Elumtools.Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard Microsoft software.Ability to work with and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary teamAdditional InformationThis position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future.At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
