RN / Registered Nurse - Infusion

Overview Amerita is a specialty infusion company focused on providing complex pharmaceutical products and outstanding clinical service to patients outside of the hospital setting. Our home infusion nurses care for specialty infusion patients one‑on‑one in the patient’s home. We provide fair and competitive compensation, high‑quality benefits, and a supportive environment. Medications you will infuse include: Immunoglobulin Therapy IV Antibiotics Enteral and Total Parenteral Nutrition Anti‑inflammatory Biologics Inotropes Clotting Factor and other specialty medications Coverage Dillon, Vail, Breckenridge, and other mountain patients. Benefits 401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer Match Employee Discounts Responsibilities Assess all patients assigned and establish and implement the plan of care. Adhere to policies and procedures for infusion nursing services, pharmacy services, and state laws. Follow INS and IgNS standards of practice, CDC guidelines, scope and standards of practice, and code of ethics as defined by the American Nurses Association. Collaborate with pharmacy staff, sales partners, ordering provider and patient to develop and monitor goals of patients’ therapies. Complete patient care documentation in place of service including patients’ home or AIS. Manage vascular access devices, including insertion of peripheral infusion devices and ability to draw labs via peripheral venipuncture. Educate patients and caregivers. Evaluate progress toward goals and make recommendations to physicians for changes in the plan of care based on patients’ needs. Coordinate nursing care with home health and other community agencies as indicated. Participate in on‑call rotation as scheduled per branch protocol. Complete expense reports monthly tracking mileage and other miscellaneous incidental expenses. Complete annual competencies and mandatory training within assigned due dates. No supervisory responsibility. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Valid nursing license in state(s) of practice. Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse. Previous infusion and home health care experience preferred. Extensive experience in IV therapy preferred. Current CPR certification. Flexible schedule with availability to work a variety of shift models. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Must meet company standards for driving record and driver age requirement. Travel: 100% regular driving to patient’s homes required. Physical Requirements Constantly sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, and typing on a keyboard. Ability to push/pull and lift/carry 10‑30 lbs.
