Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - IV start - Circulate - Telemetry - Conscious Sedation - Hemodynamic monitoring preferred - PACS experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care in the Cath Lab. This position involves working with adult patients with various disease processes. The nurse will contribute to both procedural areas, including pre and post care. They will also participate in the Interventional Radiology holding department. The schedule typically consists of days, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening, night, weekend, and holiday calls. Candidates should have experience in procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Required skills include starting and maintaining IVs and administering medications. Experience with specific procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and angioplasty is preferred. The nurse will work closely with interdisciplinary support teams. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the facility as required. Participation in holiday and weekend rotation is expected. Compliance with safety protocols and infection prevention measures is mandatory. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to patient care and safety. The facility values teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals.
