We are seeking an Accountant to support capital projects, plant funds, and financial reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with detailed financial data, project tracking, and ensuring compliance in a collaborative academic environment.

What You'll Do

• Prepare accounting reports, cost analyses, and financial schedules for capital projects and plant funds
• Track project budgets, expenditures, and funding sources to ensure accuracy and alignment
• Review financial activity to ensure proper capitalization and expense classification
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including general ledger and plant funds
• Support year-end close activities and assist with audit preparation and inquiries
• Generate reports and spreadsheets for financial analysis and project tracking
• Monitor compliance with GAAP and institutional policies
• Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
