Unit Profile: Number of Beds: 29 Patient Ratios: Ideally 1:4, currently running 1:5 Unit staffing description: Unit secretaries and patient care techs available Type of equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn vital signs machines, bladder scan, vein finder Documentation system: Meditech Scheduling requirements: 36 hours per week Floating policy: All staff float to areas of their competencies Patient Experience requirements: Must provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care Certifications: ACLS Required Dress Code: Royal Blue Scrubs, no artificial or gel nails Unit Guidelines/Policies: Vital signs every 4 hours (may be more frequent based on patient condition) Blood glucose checks as ordered Required documentation and assessment every shift Awards/Recognition: No specific awards or recognition provided. Additional Information: Staff in the Progressive Care Unit are cohesive and work well as a team. Looking for candidates who collaborate effectively with others.
