Mutual Funds Accountant

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Reconciliations: Perform daily and month-end cash, position, and expense reconciliations between internal systems, banks, and custodians to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Daily Accounting & NAV Calculation: Maintain the general ledger for mutual funds of varying complexity, ensuring precise data entry to calculate and deliver accurate evening Net Asset Value (NAV) and mill rate determinations.
• Trade & Portfolio Processing: Book daily trades and analyze portfolio pricing, ensuring all activities tie out seamlessly with Advisor and Portfolio Manager communications.
• Operational Ad-Hoc Support: Handle routine expense accruals, corporate action applications, timely information distributions, and respond to case-by-case audit requests.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance: Partner with internal/external administrators, transfer agencies, and custodians to support financials while ensuring all functions comply with GAAP and SEC regulations.
