Hire Priority Staffing is hiring a Make Ready Technician / Porter for a multifamily apartment community in downtown Austin, TX.

This position is ideal for a dependable, hard-working individual with experience in make ready, maintenance, or general labor who takes pride in their work. You’ll play a key role in preparing apartment homes for move-in and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community.

✔️ Job Overview

• Location: Downtown Austin, TX (78704)

• Position Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire

• Pay: $18 - $19 / hr

• Schedule: Monday - Friday

• Industry: Multifamily Property Management / Apartment Maintenance

️ ✔️ Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all vacant apartments are fully restored to make ready status for new resident move-in

• Perform basic maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting

• Troubleshoot and repair items such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors

• Assist with the exterior upkeep of buildings and community grounds

• Help maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property

• Prioritize daily workload and coordinate with the property manager as needed

• Support the maintenance team with additional porter, make ready, and general property duties as assigned

.

✔️ Qualifications & Skills

• Previous make ready, porter, maintenance, handyman, remodeling, construction, or general labor experience preferred

• Must have your own basic tools

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus

• Professional or commercial painting experience is a plus

• Groundskeeper experience is helpful

• CPO experience is a plus

• Must be dependable, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively

• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
