Hire Priority Staffing is hiring a Make Ready Technician / Porter for a multifamily apartment community in downtown Austin, TX.
This position is ideal for a dependable, hard-working individual with experience in make ready, maintenance, or general labor who takes pride in their work. You’ll play a key role in preparing apartment homes for move-in and helping maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the community.

Position Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $18 - $19 / hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday

️ ✔️ Key Responsibilities
Ensure all vacant apartments are fully restored to make ready status for new resident move-in
Perform basic maintenance tasks including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting
Troubleshoot and repair items such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors
Assist with the exterior upkeep of buildings and community grounds
Help maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the property
Prioritize daily workload and coordinate with the property manager as needed
Support the maintenance team with additional porter, make ready, and general property duties as assigned

✔️ Qualifications & Skills
Previous make ready, porter, maintenance, handyman, remodeling, construction, or general labor experience preferred
Must have your own basic tools
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Professional or commercial painting experience is a plus
Groundskeeper experience is helpful
CPO experience is a plus
Must be dependable, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
