Industrial Generator Technician at Generac Power Systems, Inc. Apopka, FL

Benefits Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance Retirement – 401(k) plan with company match Paid Time Off and Holidays Take‑home company vehicle Responsibilities Performs repairs and services on all makes and models of generator sets Inspects, repairs, services, and starts up load bank test requirements on equipment Troubleshoots equipment and services generator components including alternators, wiring harnesses, safety devices, shutdown switches, and battery systems Applies proper engine technical skills in inspection, disassembly, failure analysis, assembly, diagnosis, and engine operating performance tests Repairs and troubleshoots engines such as Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo Maintains assigned vehicle inventory and is able to travel throughout the local counties Responds to emergency service calls Qualifications 5+ years of service experience with power generation equipment Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally Valid driver's license Experience with Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo generator systems This job is with an independent Generac distributor and not for employment with Generac Power Systems, Inc.
