This role serves as a key resource for employee transactions, compensation reporting, and all overall HCM operations. The HCM Operations Specialist partners closely with Human Resources, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, departmental leadership, and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing of Workday transactions. This position serves as a Workday subject matter expert, supporting Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) processes, system testing, reporting, compliance activities, and continuous process improvement initiatives. This position possesses strong analytical, organizational, and technical skills, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and is committed to maintaining confidentiality while supporting operational excellence in a fast-paced healthcare environment. **Essential Functions*** Understands and adheres to organizational performance standards, policies, procedures, and expected behaviors.* Prepares, analyzes, and distributes recurring and ad hoc reports including regulatory and compliance reports utilizing Workday reporting tools.* Provides employee data reports and metrics to HR and Finance to support organizational decision-making.* Processes ad hoc employee transactions including hires, rehires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, organizational changes.* Maintains, Audits, and works to proactively identify and resolve discrepancies in employee supervisory organization, compensation, certification, license, and system data within Workday to ensure accuracy and integrity.* Reviews uploaded documentation in Workday and electronic transactions for completeness, accuracy, and compliance, working collaboratively with employees, managers, HR staff, and business leaders to resolve discrepancies.* Supports position management activities including position creation, position updates, organizational structure maintenance, and job profile assignments.* Processes compensation-related transactions including salary adjustments, promotions, market adjustments, and certification payments.* Maintains, Reviews, and Approves certifications, and licenses in Workday and Evercheck.* Report on employee licenses, certifications, and credentialing information to ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.* Calculates and validates employee payouts and other HR-related transactions in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.* Serves as a key resource in collaborating with MMC and internal stakeholders to prepare, validate, and submit Workday Enterprise Interface Builder EIB files for employee, position, compensation, and organizational data transactions.* Coordinates and performs testing activities in Workday Sandbox environments for EIB loads, business process updates, system enhancements, and configuration changes.* Validates testing results, resolves issues, documents outcomes, and provides operational approval for migration of changes into the Workday Production environment.* Participates in Workday releases, enhancements, system implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Responds to employee and manager inquiries using Service Now regarding HR transactions, Workday processes, and Workday data.* Assists in evaluating Workday functionality and recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and user experience.* Maintains strict confidentiality and safeguards sensitive employee, payroll, compensation, and organizational information.* Participates in departmental projects and internal audits.* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.**Qualifications*** Bachelor Degree Required* HRIS data entry experience required.* Familiarity with Workday HRIS/Payroll application preferred.* Prior healthcare experience is highly desirable.* Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.* Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion at all times.* Ability to analyze problems.* Ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.* Ability to maintain composure under stress.* The position works closely with other members of the Human Resource Department and must be able to maintain productive working relationships.* Effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills* Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.* May be exposed to chemicals necessary to perform required tasks. Any hazardous chemicals the employee may be exposed to are listed in the hospital’s SDS (Safety Data Sheet) data base and may be accessed through the hospital’s Intranet site (Employee Tools/SDS Access). A copy of the SDS data base can also be found at the hospital switchboard, saved on a disc. (Standard for all Job Descriptions)* The position operates in a professional office environment.
