Do you excel at leading cross-functional teams through technically challenging programs with real business impact?Mainspring Energy is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead critical product development initiatives for our Linear Generator—from early program definition through execution and successful transition to high-volume manufacturing.In this role, you will own complex, multi-disciplinary programs, drive alignment across engineering and operations teams, surface risks early, and enable informed decision-making at the executive level.ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive complex product development programs: Lead a portfolio of programs ranging from focused tactical initiatives to multi-year, company-wide efforts, ensuring delivery against technical, schedule, and business objectivesProgram-level decision ownership: Frame tradeoffs, resolve cross-functional conflicts, and drive alignment when priorities competeExecutive and stakeholder communication: Communicate clearly and effectively with senior leadership and external partners to drive decisions, provide program visibility, and escalate risks proactivelyCross-functional leadership: Partner closely with engineering, reliability, test, operations, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to align priorities and streamline executionManufacturing readiness and scale: Drive programs through NPI, manufacturing handoff, and production ramp, ensuring design, supply chain, and operational readinessTools, process, and systems optimization: Leverage tools such as Jira and enterprise data systems to improve program transparency, execution discipline, and cross-team collaborationRisk management: Identify technical, operational, and schedule risks early; lead mitigation planning and execution across teamsQualifications10+ years Program leadership experience: Proven success leading complex, cross-functional technical programs from concept through production in fast-paced hardware development environments. PMP certification is a plusStrong organizational and analytical skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and data-driven, with the ability to manage ambiguity and competing prioritiesExecutive communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levelsTechnical foundation: Background in hardware or controls engineering (electrical, software, mechanical, or systems) or equivalent experience enabling effective partnership with technical teams and participation in technical discussionsProduct development lifecycle expertise: Experience driving products through the full development lifecycle, including design, validation, regulatory certification (preferred), and manufacturing scale-up$151,400 - $178,000 a year This position is remote. The salary will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions based on employee location as well as the experience of the employee.
