Material Handler - 2nd Shift

Materials Supply MaintainerTo perform tasks necessary for maintaining continuous materials supply at each machine to enable efficient operations without disruption due to lack of materials.Job Duties:Maintains a clean and orderly work area/warehouseMaintains a safe working environment by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents, while maintaining quality standardsMaintains company's quality standards and follows computer procedures to handle damaged material and quarantine materialReads work order or follows verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be movedOpens containers to prepare to be movedLoads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by handConveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areaAttaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containersLoads truckLifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operatorsOperates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and productsBrings and takes away all Gaylord boxes for recycling to machinesBrings and takes away skids for machine operators jobsBands and stores all endplates, skids, and recyclable materialEmpties all trash throughout shopMust be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assignedJob Qualifications:High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) requiredMust have tow motor experience and be able to successfully complete tow motor certification trainingAbility to multi task and read production ticketsAbility to perform math calculations including fractionsMust be able to read tape measure, including micrometerMust be computer literateAbility to maintain production standardsMust be dedicated to continuous improvementMust be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
