Job Title Exceptional Children's Pre-K Teacher Location Tulls Creek Elementary School, Moyock, North Carolina Job Type Full Time Reports To Principal, PreK Director, and EC Director Start Date August 10, 2026 Position Summary Currituck County Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Exceptional Children's Pre-K Teacher to create a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will inspire students to achieve their academic potential while fostering a love for learning. Key Responsibilities Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum guidelines. Establish and maintain a respectful and safe classroom environment conducive to learning. Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs and styles. Utilize a variety of assessment tools to monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support student success. Engage in ongoing professional learning and participate in school initiatives. Foster relationships with the community to enhance educational opportunities for students. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. Must hold or be eligible to hold appropriate NC Licensure from the NC Department of Public Instruction (Birth-Kindergarten or Preschool Add-on Certification Required). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging lesson plans and utilize various teaching strategies. Preferred Skills Experience with technology integration in the classroom. Knowledge of differentiated instruction and inclusive practices. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
