Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift

Today Toledo Tool & Die has three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio. Position Overview We are adding a Maintenance Technician to our team to support our continued growth. Salary & Benefits Starting pay of $32‑$38 per hour depending on experience Shift premium: $1.00 for 3rd shift Weekly pay 10 paid holidays Full benefits Key Responsibilities Perform simple‑to‑complex duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s equipment. Provide assistance for emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service. Perform electrical duties including PLCs, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; work with 120 v, 220 v, 480 v and 13.8 k v circuits; install/repair and troubleshoot starters, relays, switches, proximity circuits, VFDs, contactors and input/output circuits. Perform mechanical tasks including pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Perform simple machinist duties and fabricate projects involving welding components together. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Carry out regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Execute plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Operate scissor lifts, baskets and booms for aerial tasks. Use hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report unusual situations to proper supervision. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics and technical manuals. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Take authority to stop production if unsafe parts or conditions appear. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or manager. Ideal Candidate Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing setting. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, consistent attendance. Willingness to learn, safety minded. Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays). Requirements TIER 1 ($32‑$36): welding/fabrication, lube/grease/oil check, electrical fundamentals, stamping presses fundamentals, cylinder repairs. TIER 2 ($34‑$38): Journeyman card or 10+ years electrical or mechanical experience; understand hydraulic systems, advanced electrical, advanced stamping, press inspections, PLC experience, machine automation, troubleshoot from prints & diagrams, familiar with transfer systems. Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Eligible to work in the United States. Must satisfactorily complete pre‑employment screening (background check and drug screen). Experience in industrial maintenance. Five or more years of progressive industrial experience in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and industrial skills. Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. Report to work on time to support production startup. Possess good physical stamina and coordination. Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or climb for extended periods. Must be able to lift/push/pull objects up to 50 pounds. Work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity. Must have a valid driver’s license.
