Associate Attorney

Associate Attorney - Family Law

We're looking for a motivated, compassionate attorney to join our family law team in Modesto, CA and surrounding areas. This role blends client representation with hands-on case strategy and document work — you'll guide clients through some of the most important transitions in their lives, while working closely with senior attorneys to build strong, practical cases.

You'll be a steady, knowledgeable presence for clients navigating divorce, custody, and other family law matters, while keeping filings, deadlines, and case files moving for the firm.

What You'll Do:

* Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, spousal support, domestic violence restraining orders, property division, and post-judgment modifications.
* Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, declarations, discovery, settlement correspondence, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other case-related appearances.
* Conduct legal research, evaluate case issues, and develop practical strategies aligned with each client's goals.
* Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates, answering questions, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the legal process.
* Manage deadlines, case files, and workflow in an organized and professional manner.

What We're Looking For:

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
* Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in California family law.
* Excellent writing, research, negotiation, and courtroom preparation skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Compassionate, professional approach to working with clients during sensitive legal matters.
