HR Administrator The HR Administrator will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations, with a strong focus on recruitment, HRIS administration in a unionized, non-profit environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Workforce Now (ADP) and possess a deep understanding of unionized workplace practices. Responsibilities Develop and post job postings. Screen, interview, and coordinate with hiring managers. Facilitate onboarding, including orientation and new hire documentation. Maintain and update employee records in ADP Workforce Now. Generate reports and analyze HR metrics as needed. Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Ensure compliance to the collective agreement, government legislation, and company policies. Liaise with managers, Finance Department, and other staff as required. Proactively review HRIS and personnel files to verify information. Proactively create documents for integration to HRIS and payroll (WFN-ADP) system. Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to HR and payroll. Perform other unplanned tasks or duties of a transient nature as assigned by the supervisor from time to time. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Proficiency with Workforce Now (WFN); preferred in a non-profit and unionized setting. Knowledge of labor laws, union agreements, and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Advanced Word and Excel skills with ability to work with complex formulas. Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines. Ability to prioritize, identify problems, and implement solutions. Attention to detail with superior organization skills. Reliable, flexible, and a team player who can also work independently. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels of communication. Proficient in using Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Ability to cope with changes and be flexible in scheduling; willing to work some evenings and/or weekends. Other Requirements Ability to perform some physical activities (e.g., lifting and loading program materials and office equipment). A negative result in Vulnerable Sector Screening is mandatory.
