Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Physician (Physiatrist)

A well-established healthcare organization in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Physician (Physiatrist) to join its growing pediatric rehabilitation team. This is a great opportunity for a physician who is passionate about helping children with complex medical and developmental conditions improve their quality of life.

You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with experienced rehabilitation professionals and have the flexibility to develop your clinical interests.

Key responsibilities include performing pediatric rehabilitation evaluations and follow-up visits, providing physiatry consultations when needed, participating in the on-call rotation, providing medical leadership and support within the rehabilitation program, supervising and mentoring medical students or residents when assigned, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and staying current with medical advancements through continuing medical education (CME).

This role involves working with pediatric patients with a variety of rehabilitation needs, including neurological disorders, musculoskeletal conditions, cardiopulmonary impairments, cerebral palsy and spasticity management, brain injury and concussion care, neuromuscular disorders, and rehabilitation needs of NICU graduates. Physicians may have the opportunity to work in inpatient, outpatient, and consultative settings depending on interests and program needs.

Qualifications include an MD or DO degree, board certified or board eligible physiatrist, board certified/board eligible pediatrician or pediatric rehabilitation physician preferred, experience managing pediatric rehabilitation patients in acute care or rehabilitation settings, eligibility for Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain), and strong communication and teamwork skills.
