Facilities Operations Manager

Join Our TeamThe Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Operations Manager to lead our facilities and maintenance team which is responsible for our facilities throughout the U.S. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring our buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and critical systems support a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.The ideal candidate combines strong technical facility management expertise with proven leadership skills, project management experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. This role oversees facility operations across multiple sites, manages capital and maintenance projects, and plays a key role in supporting the company's growth and long-term facility strategy.Key Responsibilities:Lead the maintenance and operation of all U.S. facilities, grounds, and infrastructureManage HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, security, and life-safety systemsDevelop and oversee preventive maintenance programs and facility standardsBuild, coach, and lead a high-performing facilities and maintenance teamManage contractors, vendors, service agreements, and facility-related budgetsLead renovation, expansion, and capital improvement projectsEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and building regulationsOversee emergency preparedness and business continuity planningManage the company vehicle fleet, including maintenance, compliance, and replacement planningIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance the employee experiencePartner with leadership on facility strategy, site planning, and future growth initiativesQualifications:Required10+ years of progressive facilities, maintenance, or plant engineering leadership experienceStrong mechanical and building systems knowledge including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility infrastructureExperience managing contractors, vendors, and facility service agreementsStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and facility maintenance management software (CMMS preferred)Ability to travel between company locations as required and active driver's licensePreferredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business, Construction Management, or related fieldExperience managing capital projects and facility expansionsOSHA, safety, environmental, or facility management certificationsFleet management experienceWhy Join Kurt J.
