Electrician

High Tide Oil Company, Inc. is currently hiring for a Full Time Commercial and Residential Electrician. Duties, Responsibilities And Requirements Responsible for planning, installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems and/or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand and power tools. Ability to demonstrate a focus on safety, quality, customer service, and operations with honesty and integrity. Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs at various heights to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Knowledge of conduit bending and installation, wire pulling, switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, switchboards, transformers, and motor control centers. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, and moving and lifting heavy objects up to 50lbs. Ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment properly such as hardhats, boots, eye protection, and gloves. Ability to operate and control (2) handed tools/equipment such as but not limited to hand benders, cable cutters, compression tools, and other power tools. Ability to stay on their feet continuously for a 10-hour day excluding lunch. Ability to distinguish all colors of a color spectrum chart. Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, drawings, floor plans, schedules and manufacturers operating and/or maintenance specifications as they relate to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and special equipment, building structures and finishes. Strong knowledge of the current National Electrical Code and skilled at interpreting and following the information contained. Ability to work independently in challenging environments while meeting demanding timelines. Installs, maintains, and troubleshoots electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code. Maintains compliance with all OSHA and DOT requirements as well as all company policies. Immediately identify, correct, and/or report any unsafe acts, conditions or incidents. Bends and installs conduit. Installs lighting and basic control systems. Performs wire and cable pulls. Installs motor feeders and makes standard motor connections. Cleans and maintains jobsite, tools, and vehicles. Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, switchboards, transformers, and motor control centers. Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on project drawings, specifications, and National Electrical Code. Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Performing work at various heights. Exposed to weather conditions depending on the location and time of year. Exposed to trenches, confined spaces, and restricted movement areas. Performing work on uneven terrain, unfinished building structures, and general construction areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Exposed repetitive walking, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling squatting, climbing, kneeling, reaching over the head and twisting. Standing for long periods of time without sitting. Lifting and maneuvering heavy objects up to 50lbs. Repetitive motion of shoulders, arm, hands, wrists, and fingers. Corporate office is located in Moody, AL.
