Registered Nurse (RN)The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role involves directing and coordinating nursing care for patients based on established nursing practice standards. The Registered Nurse collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve optimal patient outcomes. This position supports the mission of the healthcare organization and focuses on providing care for patients of all ages, from birth to elderly.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient assessments and develop nursing diagnoses.Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on nursing protocols.Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve the best patient outcomes.Serve as a resource person in various clinical situations.Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity in all aspects of patient care.Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.Interpret diagnostic tests and provide patient/family education.Supervise unit secretaries and patient care technicians in collaboration with the Charge Nurse.QualificationsMust have completed a nursing education program from an NLN-approved institution.Preferably one year of experience in a health care setting as a Registered Nurse.Must hold a current nursing license in good standing in the State of Alaska.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.Must achieve and maintain competencies specific to the role.Skills RequiredProficient oral and written communication skills.Ability to utilize the nursing process effectively in patient care.Cognitive and technical knowledge with the ability to manage care across the continuum.Familiar with office equipment such as computers and medical equipment, including EKGs and cystoscopy devices.Ability to analyze and interpret medical terminology, professional journals, and governmental regulations.Basic EKG skills and nursing competencies.Ability to solve practical problems and analyze data effectively.ScheduleThis position typically requires a flexible work schedule with a commitment to patient care.Holiday CoverageHoliday coverage is not required for this position.Client Details Address 528 Chief Eddie Hoffman Hwy State AK Zip Code 99559
