Electrical Engineer III

Title: Electrical Engineer III - must have at least 4 - 5 years of experience


Contract: 6 month - 12 month or 6 month contract to hire (flexible on length of contract, can continue to extend or someone who wants to convert after 6 months or stay on contract)


Location: Houston, TX OR Tulsa, OK OR Philadelphia, PA OR Pittsburgh, PA - Hybrid 4 days in office, Fridays remote


Work Authorization: USC or Green Card preferred so they can convert but open to long term contracting with various visas.


5+ years Electrical Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, medium-voltage & low-voltage power distribution, Industrial EPC/design, IEEE/NEC/NESC, electrical construction drawings/specifications, ETAP/SKM/EasyPower, short-circuit/arc-flash/grounding/protection studies, preferably Oil & Gas/industrial experience.

The Electrical Engineer III is responsible for supporting the design, analysis, and execution of electrical engineering projects for industrial facilities. This role works as part of a multidisciplinary project team from concept through construction and commissioning, contributing technical expertise in power distribution, medium-voltage systems, and industrial electrical design. The Engineer III independently manages assigned tasks while collaborating with senior engineers, designers, project managers, and clients to deliver quality project outcomes.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or EPC environment.
• Experience supporting the design and execution of industrial electrical power systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, including medium-voltage and low-voltage applications.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards.
• Experience developing electrical construction drawing packages, specifications, and engineering calculations.
• Experience with electrical system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar tools preferred.
• Ability to perform or support short circuit, coordination, arc flash, grounding, and power system studies.
• Familiarity with equipment procurement, vendor drawing reviews, construction support, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, power, utility, or other industrial facilities preferred.
