Mechanical Inspector/Jr. Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications 5+ years of experience in incoming/receiving inspection in aerospace or precision manufacturing Strong hands-on experience with CMM programming and usage. Experience with FARO Arm (portable CMM) a plus Proficiency or familiarity with metrology software (e.g., CAM2, PolyWorks) to generate inspection reports Direct experience inspecting complex machined parts and ensuring compliance with AS9102 and AS9100 (FAI - first article inspection) Expertise interpreting complex engineering drawings including GD&T (ASME Y14.5), familiarity with flatness, circularity, cylindricity, parallelism, perpendicularity Experience with Material Review Board (MRB) process and creating nonconformances Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges) High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or technical certification preferred Experience inspecting machined, fabricated, and composite components Responsibilities Perform receiving/incoming inspection of machined, fabricated, and composite components using FARO Arm (portable CMM) and CMM systems Conduct dimensional inspection and generate detailed inspection reports using metrology software (e.g., CAM2, PolyWorks) Interpret complex engineering drawings including GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and specifications to ensure operations meet production standards Accept or reject finished products, identify defects, create nonconformances, and manage defective parts via Material Review Board (MRB) process Work closely with Quality Engineer to perform needed inspections for control plans and conduct adhoc inspections for R&D team #J-18808-Ljbffr SoloPoint Solutions, Inc.
