Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience programming in C++. 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture. 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. Experience building service-to-service communication models within Layer 7 networking. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience building, scaling, and maintaining highly-available systems. Experience writing modern C++ with the knowledge in networking. Ability to ship customer-facing infrastructure. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across technical and non-technical partners. The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $207,000–$300,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities Work on the different software stacks that can be seen along the numerous network paths that we support. Collaborate regularly with other Engineering teams in and outside the Serverless organization. Interact with Product, Developer Relations, and other functions to ensure optimal outcomes for Google Cloud customers.
