Details Acute care Med/Surg-Neuro unit (6AB) within a Level 1 trauma hospital 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift 12-hour day/night rotating shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required Shift rotation pattern varies by scheduling cycle, alternating between days and nights or staying consistent for several weeks at a time Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps Primary unit is 6AB, with float expectations to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo Requirements Active ND or Compact RN license required BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200 beds) Level 1 trauma experience required Prior travel nursing experience with successful completion required Epic EMR experience required Neuro patient experience preferred but not required Additional Information Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility Navy blue scrubs required Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position Candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility are eligible at a reduced local rate Candidates who have previously worked for this health system must have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission American Traveler Job ID P-749579.
