We’re seeking an experienced and client‑focused Financial Consultant to provide strategic financial consulting services to agricultural producers. Why You’ll Love This Role As the Financial Consultant, you’ll: Consult with clients/members in a proactive manner to ascertain and define needs, opportunities or problems and determine the scope of the project required to obtain solutions working to implement action plans. Apply accounting and management concepts and provide written financial analysis to the individual agricultural producer situation with the goal of helping the client/member achieve their personal, business, and financial goals. Mentor clients/members to adopt good financial practices such as budget planning. Mentor and develop working relationships with other consulting staff members, coaches and other resources. Participate and when needed lead development of standard reporting packages for lenders as needed by clients/members. This would include but would not be limited to Financial Reporting including cash flows and budgets. Create reports, charts and graphs that describe and interpret findings of analysis for clients/members to help in presentation to them and or associated parties. Develop and understand GAAP standard accounting processes that successfully balances internal control, inventory management, asset control and accurate financial recording principles with the size of the client/team operation and staff abilities. Full understanding of multiple entity transaction processing assuring reconciliation of inter-company transactions. Develop materials for and lead, facilitate, train, present at informational or training sessions as needed. Ability to learn the advanced capabilities of various software tools to leverage financial information for management. Organize and present complex, multi-entity financial information in concise, consolidated format to meet management and external needs. Ability to perform entity consolidations of complex enterprises within and outside accounting software. What We’re Looking For 5-8 years of related experience, Production agriculture?specific?experience?is preferred?(with an accounting firm or Ag related lending organization)? Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in finance or management and/or accounting is required. Master’s Degree a plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Solid understanding of GAAP standards, financial analytics skills and proven cash management skills.
