3rd Shift Offset Plate Associate

East Longmeadow, MA

Night Shift 6pm to 6am

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and sometimes a 4th night

Key Responsibilities But Not Limited To

• Load and unload platemaking materials to and from equipment to bend all size plates for press
• Verify plates meet all quality expectations
• Track job components through production using smart tools applications
• General cleanup of the area (6’s)
• Basic understanding for workflows and procedures in area
• Communicate with support resources, troubleshooting barriers

Scope

Varies by plant:

• Work with the digital imposition hub and press employees following smart-tool status’ organizing press ready plates correct and on time.

Job Requirements

• Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis
• Must follow all safety rules in the department along with following all PPE requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Basic working knowledge of computer systems used (MAC OS/Windows OS)
• Basic mechanical skills preferred
• Flexible work schedules necessary to meet the production needs
• Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions

Physical Demands

• Manual dexterity: Work requires physical operations requiring some closely coordinated performance.
• Physical effort: Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Work requires regularly lifting and bending. Will also require the ability to push or pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally having to move larger weight materials.
• Working conditions: Operator will work in a mostly temperature controlled environment, PPE is required.
• Hazards: Handling of chemicals is involved, including acids, caustics, and petroleum-based solvents. Proper PPE is required when handling. In many cases handling sharp edged metal with proper PPE as required.

• Accuracy while bending and supplying quality finished plates or cylinders to press
• Dealing with internal and external customers
