Hotel Facilities Maintenance Technician

What you'll bring to the team Positive attitude and an outgoing personality Flexibility to handle a wide range of complex duties with extreme care and precision Ability to create a memorable experience for children Team player Scope and Responsibilities Keep all equipment and work areas clean, neat, and orderly at all times Maintain safety as the top priority, wearing appropriate PPE and following SOPs Follow applicable building codes, regulations, and LEGOLAND California policies Assist in maintenance‐related tasks as needed by the department Ensure compliance with internal maintenance, safety and security procedures (ASTM, NEC, electrical codes, loss prevention guidelines) Respond to emergency calls for repairs and maintenance directed by the maintenance supervisor Report equipment needs for repair, replacement, or adjustment to the supervisor Keep tools, machines, and all other company equipment in clean, proper working order Attend department training, supplemental courses and seminars to stay updated on technical information and products Serve as a liaison with fellow maintenance MCs and other departments Essential Job Functions Keep safety as the #1 priority by wearing PPE and following SDS instructions Maintain compliance with OSHA and other state/local regulations Follow established maintenance programs, including emergency repairs to reduce downtime Operate simple machine tools (drill presses, power saws, grinders, power drills, hand tools) Identify, repair, and replace equipment as necessary while reporting to supervisor Stay informed on modern techniques and technical methods Work outdoors in any weather condition and stand or walk for long periods Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required The schedule for this position is primarily evenings and weekends. Background and Experience Minimum of four years of facilities maintenance and repair experience At least four years of construction experience Knowledge of mechanical systems troubleshooting and repair practices, tools, and equipment Ability to remain calm and rational under pressure or in emergency situations Proficient in reading and evaluating reports, correspondence, blueprints, and basic math skills Guest service-oriented demeanor High school diploma or general education degree (or equivalent education and experience) Must be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support resort operations. Must have a valid driver's license and safe driving record.
