Essential Requirements
  • Medical Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)

  • Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license or have licensure in progress, active by the date of hire, along with an active NYS DEA certificate

  • Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA general surgery residency program is required

  • Board Eligible or Certified in Colon and Rectal Surgery, with fellowship training

  • New and recent graduates are encouraged to apply

  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory

Responsibilities
  • Foster a team-oriented leadership style within oncology, digestive health, and women's health services

  • Conduct colorectal surgeries using advanced robotic, laparoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques

  • Engage in a collaborative approach to patient care, emphasizing high-quality, patient-centered outcomes

  • Work alongside a team of surgeons and APPs to manage inpatient care and call responsibilities

  • Contribute to the expansion and development of the colorectal surgery service line

  • Build relationships with a robust network of primary care providers for referrals and continuity of care
