Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Interventional Radiology and 1 year in Neuro experience License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Level One Experience preferred Travel experience required Neuro Interventional Radiology procedure experience required Description: This position requires a skilled registered nurse to provide care in an interventional radiology setting. The nurse must be comfortable and capable of caring for neonates through geriatric patients. Candidates should have 2 years of interventional radiology experience and a minimum of 1 year of neuro experience. Procedures include carotid angiography, cerebral angiography, neurologic thrombolysis, and vertebroplasty. The ability to manage and interpret dysrhythmias is essential. Candidates must demonstrate competency in CVA, aneurysms, myelograms, and lumbar punctures. A response time of 30 minutes is required for call duties. Availability for on-call duties 1-2 weekdays and 1-2 weekends over a six-week schedule is essential. Compliance with BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, EKG, and various competency examinations is required. Candidates will also have the opportunity to float within the healthcare facility or to nearby affiliate hospitals. Patients typically include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census and patient volume expectations align with unit capacity and care needs.
