Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant provides clinical support primarily in a Family Medicine outpatient setting, assisting with patient care and occasionally performing front-office duties such as patient check-in/check-out, phone coverage, scheduling, managing patient messages, and supporting clinic flow. The role requires proficiency in healthcare terminology, Epic charting system, and basic life support certification, with flexibility to float within skillset to meet facility needs.
Responsibilities:

The role requires proficiency in healthcare terminology, Epic charting system, and basic life support certification, with flexibility to float within skillset to meet facility needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clinicians with clinical support tasks in a Family Medicine practice.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures as needed.
- Answer phones and manage patient messages to support clinic communication.
- Schedule patient appointments and assist with clinic flow management.
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and charting.
- Float within skillset to other duties or locations as required by facility needs.
- Maintain reliable transportation for travel requirements.
- Certified Medical Assistant - Clinical (MA-C) credential (MA-R not accepted).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 6 months healthcare experience.
- Proficiency in healthcare terminology.
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Experience in adult outpatient clinics or family medicine settings.
- Ability to adapt and float within scope of practice to meet facility needs.
- No weekend or on-call requirements.
- Candidate must confirm availability for interview times as specified; failure to attend may disqualify from future positions.
- Travelers must be aware of and comply with transportation requirements.
- Return to office (RTO) policies to be confirmed with hiring manager.
- Five 8-hour day shifts per week.
- Shift schedule is daytime with no weekend shifts required.
